Thanks for what you've said about organic food.
What I've taught my children is that superior building materials is what it takes to build a superior structure, body and mind. There is no other food production technique more superior than organic. Nutrition is the most important factor in brain health, function, and performance, as well as emotional health. This should be the most important thing we teach.

Hey dear Sorelle, I've been following you for many years. I think it's interesting to witness the path you've taken so far, and I respect your fascination with finance and your desire to share your knowledge.
I would however like to suggest to not quote people's advice if they are possibly of a political niche that you would not want to promote (I would assume), like the right-wing misogynist Jordan Peterson. I know questionable people also can have some valuable things to say about some topics, but looking at you with your integrity and your large platform, I can't imagine you would want to seem like you're aligning yourself with someone like Peterson. I also know it's impossible to not stumble upon many questionable values and viewpoints when talking about the big white male "thought leaders" in business, which makes it even more important that people like you who have a voice handle talk about these personalities with care.

other than that, keep up your evolution and journey to more exploration of topics and authenticity!

i saw a video reviewing what you eat in a day, and your diet was uninformed and unhealthy and i thought you were insane but then i came across these finances videos and love them! crazy. edit just got to the organic part, no you're wrong – organis food doesn't have lower levels of pesticides or chemicals. look it up.

Investing with debt is a really good way to lower risk. So many people get this wrong. Normally peoples investments are heavily concentrated towards the end of their lives, so investing with leverege while young is a form of diversification in time.
So the advice should be borrow while young to buy a home and to buy index funds.
Now if you buy an appartment or house as an investment you should treat it as an investment and evaluate if renovations really adds more value in the market than the cost.

I soooo agree with your first point. It's not about food, it's about having a taste, savouring every sense that your body is capable of enjoying. It's a blessing! I think food is also a cultural reflection.

If you buy it right, a house can be both an asset and a liability. You have to live somewhere. Why not live somewhere you love while having at least a part of your monthly expenses going towards building wealth? I paid off my house over 30 years and I now use it as a rental and it pays me each month. House prices are crazy, but rent is just as crazy. I know people my age who didn't buy a house and now they are struggling to find a place to live that they can afford.

Absolutely agree with you! Food is so important. So is rest. I use to be someone that would work 3 jobs and now sleep. NowI have primary progressive MS. I definitely think stress helped manifest the disease. Now I use whole natural organic foods as my medicine.

love this video esp about food. We (my wife and I btw she loves your channel!) place super importance on our foods. Our son is on the ASD spectrum, and if he has a packet of Quavers cheesy crisps.. or a J20 bottle of "juice" its really hard to get him to listen & focus. Conversely if he eats more veggies (he loves raw veggies like cucumber and carrot etc with houmous) his focus and concentration on EVERYTHING is multiplied.. he can read for hours or sit and create for so long or enjoy coding and maths – his energy and focus levels are through the roof.

The same happened for me – my wife has been a veggie for a long time now and for about a year through xmas 2019 we ditched all meat and processed foods. I noticed straight away my energy levels went through the roof… i went from struggling to walk through my wifes home town in Vinroma (Barcelona) to 5 days later hiking up two nearside mountains with my son on xmas day morning. it was like nothing i had ever experienced. We had to stop halfway up the 2nd because my 9 year old boy was shattered. I couldn't believe the difference.

I then spent the next year doing a mostly meat-free diet and concentrating on veggies more. I felt really good and energy levels went up to a point but found myself snacking on more sugars than i should have.

Today i eat meat again, but mainly a bit of chicken and mostly fish (my wife being from spain loves fish!) so thats mostly our diet now. Maybe 2-3 times a week… which is far far less than the 3 times a day i would always do. But i've found a new love for veggies that was dwindling more an more on a meaty diet. And if i keep the bread, cheese and sugars out my diet my strength and focus levels are bonkers. I do still like chocolate tho lol altho 70% choc is awesome stuff for getting a nibble without too much sugar.

Just a little anecdote i wanted to share lol

I spend a lot on food, it’s your body, no refunds on it! Duh, look after your body. I agree with everything! I do think a home is important, however I do very much agree with a bigger is not better. Mortgage free is my aim asap.

I grow my own produce in warmer weather. I am careful with my food spending, but eat healthier now because I don't buy boxed chemically created food. I make my coffee at home 99% of the time. I try to buy fair trade beans. We're on track to own our home in a few years. Later this month we are switching our heat system to a more affordable, effective system. We already have solar. Once our mortgage is paid off, we'll be debt free. Our house is 1400 square feet, big in the rest of the world, but small in the US (here).

I don't get your 'don't buy your house via debt' advice. We all are born into the 'financial game' so you might as well strategize to finance the roof over your head. If I didn't buy my home 30 years ago then I would be paying the astronomical rents these days, until I die. I actually stopped working 7 years ago, after paying off my modest home 10 years after getting the mortgage. I just continued smartly saving, taking annual holidays, enjoying my savings but never being wasteful. My only concern now is that I have enough to survive until death, based on our unpredictable financial future.

A big house is a liability. A small house just to live in not because you save rent.

Reply
essennagerry 20/01/2022 - 5:12 Chiều

The only reason I want a bigger place to live is because I want to invite people over a lot, otherwise I'd want to go small. But even so, just a bigger living room and perhaps an extra bedroom suffices fully for that. Also, if I'm ever so rich as to afford people to work for me personally I'd like to hire just one person to clean part time (and perhaps one person to cook?) and nothing more lmao, with a bigger house you need an entire squad. Big no-no. For me, efficient, quick cleaning is always in my mind when looking at places, furniture, etc.

If you can use the internet – research health! Trust me exercise is insanely benefitial, a prettier body is the worst of all the benefits you get from it. Do both strength and cardio but just a little goes a long way health wise. Forget body goals, just exercise for the sake of exercise bcs it's so healthy if you just do it. Cut out fructose, at least for a prolonged period of time, at least once in your life, please do it. And research those things I'm saying too lol.

yup. I was on the edge of going into that insane hustle culture. thankfully i leaned into the spiriutal community instead. my intuition was correct- it's very very ego centered to want to control the things you eat, spend less and less, track every penny, etc. From a manifestation standpoint, that's manifesting more lack and fear and constant worry about one's finances.

Its shown so many times, that "organic" food is one of the biggest swindles in recent times. It's overpriced and damaging to environment.

Your gut is full or flora and fauna that help you digest food. If your food is full of products that kill flora and fauna…

Absolutely love your videos and I totally agree with you on this one.
By the way, can you mention what studies you have read about organic food being better for you?
All the studies I have read can not prove that the pesticides and antibiotics actually cause any harm. The ingested dose is below the threshold to cause harm and is not accumulated in your body.

I agree the with the sentiment you discuss around organic food. You're half-right.

The issue is where organic certification comes from and the lie being sold in that industry. They still use pesticides, they provide no real for food shortage rates, they are absolutely not vegan, not sure if you know that.

Eat well, eat good food.. but don't get caught up on "organic" labelled food.
