Question for anybody literally. Im in dire need of upgrading to a new phone as I'm currently using a Huawei Mate 20 Lite- a 200тВм phone. So I thought this year I would upgrade to the 13. But with the 14 coming out and it's rumored huge changes,should I wait until September-October this year for the 14 or upgrade right now to a 13?

i can bet that apple won't use this in iphone 14 series. it will probably take at least 3-4 years for apple to implement. also i think samsung is going to implement it first and apple will observe that experiment whether it's good or not and then implement in iphones cuz that's what apple do. they always like to play it safe and be a little ''late'' rather than experimenting it for the first time on their product which is probably a good thing cuz it ensures that the product they make doesn't end up having problem. it's no surprise that first generation of anything is never gonna be perfect but i like that samsung takes risk and tries to implement it first and then improve it over the years.
I think we will see this technology not this year but 5 years later.

A metal can battery is already being used in the Apple Watch but itтАЩs exactly that, a metal can around the battery it is still however a traditional lithium ion battery not a solid-state and itтАЩs definitely not using carbon nanotubes and a solid-state battery.
Solid-state battery should have come to Apple Watch first.

Unfortunately I really think the problem ainтАЩt the breakthrough, but the economies of scale required to achieve anything kinda close to AppleтАЩs mass volumes and market margins. The technology is already employed in very specific industrial uses, but mass consumer commercial production is unfortunately a dream thatтАЩs still away for at least the next 5 years sadly ЁЯЩБ (mostly due to cost, but also reliability and public regulation), still cool to think AppleтАЩs looking towards it though ЁЯША

If they get rid of the notch, I will switch back to iphone.
I really wanted the 13 mini but didn't get it because of the notch. I think it didn't sell well because the screen is already small and it still had a notch. 14 mini without a notch would be a perfect phone but we're not getting it unfortunately.
I'll upgrade from my 11 pro if the battery life is that good.
