Elon Musk already kind of did that. He hosted Meme Review on Pewdiepie's channel once and he seemed bored out of his mind on everything except he laughed hysterically at someone calling a deer that had drowned in their outside pool a dolphin. It was weird.
100 000……………………………. my whole family combined doesn't make that much
Cell Phone: $40
wut. You make $100k a year and you go with Criket?
Nice Haircut Arc foreshadowing at the end.
this shit right here makes me wanna commit acts of robloxism
I have zero interest in defending Elon Musk but this meme culture gatekeeping is kind of cringey. Dude can't make jokes I guess. It's all calculated secret plot to appease his weeb underlings.
im truly insulted that they thought they could get away with $800 for rent, anywhere, and i mean anywhere, that isnt filled with mold, issues, and "roommates" will be above $1k and thats if you dont get ripped off, in the poorest area i know we barley kept it near that because we were white and fought our rent constantly due to never getting repairs, but yeah show me the one 25 year old who lives at his dads apartment block and he gets a family's apartment for half the price
Ah yes I clear 100,000 a year easy with my Sigma-male grind-set!
(In Turkish Lira of course….)
To be fair, I would probably be bad at guessing the price of grocery items,
but thats just my brain being incredibly bad at remembering numbers,
I usually just buy the same kinds of food and grocery items anyway and my regular costs alway roughly stay in the same range.
I stay within a reasonable budget for me by instinct, but without consciously being aware of the numbers
This isn't a threat of violence, it's a gameshow
House cleaner 💀
Complete garbo
"being thrown into a pit is only a form of violence if there's a bottom" is probably my favourite thing you've ever said.
I would like to see Elon Musk to live on the budget of a typical postdoc. You know, with the actual rocket scientist salary.
Is it stupid to ask our politicians for the price of random grocery items? Yes.
Will I still mock them relentlessly if they can’t do it? Very much so, yes.
What about if we strap Elon Musk to a chair, but skip the show or questions part of that?
The fact that people think $825 is some unbelievably low rent is evidence that "Just move" is a valid argument
A swedish politician, Anne Wibble, said that every swed should have at least one yearly salary in their savings. Talk about being out of touch
this has the same energy as the time McDonald’s released a mock budget for their employees, which pre-supposes they have two jobs and like, $600 rent.
I don't see anything here thats very unrealistic. Its a frugal lifechoice for someone coming out with over 5k a month after tax. The low rent would suggest living with roommates. The 30 dollar housekeeper would suggest a split cost across those housemates. The guy is 25, hes not running a household, hes sharing with friends.
I can only assume they shared this as the finances of an unusual case and not the norm, a 25yr old on 100k is quite an anomaly.
imagine being so fucking out of touch that you expect an average individual to be physically capable of spending more on donations than groceries
I cannot imagine how any person, no matter their bias, could see this chart and think "hmm yeah that makes sense".
I'm sorry, the "donations" segment is just… insulting. That's literally what the state is for. That's LITERALLY what welfare is for. This country and the people with power in it, man…
130 for transport lol
20 dollars for internet? With Fiber, maybe!
Here is a financial advice: Use your unspend money each month to invest in stocks, bonds or crypto. Deversify as much as u can..both between and within these asset classes and let compounding do it's magic.
Buying and holding Index funds for the long term will be an excellent starting point.
In a capitalist country you use your capital to make more capital. If you can't beat them, join them.
What are donations?
And, if you're more interested in living in the suburbs, you can just buy a nice small 4 bedroom house for 60,000 USD instead.
But don't forget about the additional expenses such as 50 bucks a month for your driver, 15 dollars for your gardener, and 20 for your wife's pool boy.
$40 a month for a phone plan? More like $100 (in Canada at least) unless you want some useless home line.
Internet, transportation, cell phone and house cleaners are the real standouts here. I get shit internet and I have to pay 4 times that amount. That transportation only covers a single subway ride back and forth mon-fri and no weekend rides. Cell phone plans are usually 60 bucks minimum unless you're not doing any data at all. What the fuck world do these people live in.
The dining out budget is more than twice as much as my monthly grocery budget.
I’m 19 live with roommates in a 1 story house built in 1965 and I pay around 600 across 4 people lmao these people are so out of touch
Come on vaush iq is bullshit
This is beyond hilarious. 100k income for 25 year olds? Also despite this in their words being “excellent spending” this monthly plan exceeds the income of a full time $15 dollar an hour worker, you’d bleed over 2k a year on this plan.
The rent for where I live alone is $2,000. And I live in Texas where they have some of the cheapest land 😐
I'm not trying to like be rude but when you don't have a lot of money donating your money is not the first thing that comes to mind. Of course middle class or low income people can be altruistic and care about charity but we tend to donate our time than our money. It seems like money doesn't actually make you seem like a better person you just don't actually have to be physically there but just send money and make it seem like you're doing just as much. 😑 I know that because there are many things that I want to donate to but I get paid minimum wage for an on-campus job. It's very telling from who or how they made this budget because usually many donations come with a lot of tax write-offs that they will get right back
RIP that iconic hair
Having someone to come in and clean your house is like $125 at the minimum especially if you do it monthly but other chain places cost way more but that's not something most people have like you can maybe save up to get someone to come in and clean your house but beyond that people are cleaning the house themselves
And of course, we drop the officials who fail the price test into the Vaush Pit
Not only 25 but most Americans don't make that much and these costs are crazy on what they think things cost and we're not even talking about the quality of like you get off of the prices you can afford or can't afford even things that are super expensive can still be ass
Hahaha $615 on donations? Nah just buy Bitcoin or index funds
I want a show with Musk strapped to a train seat being driven around Europe, and having tons of pleasant locals offering him local snacks. Meanwhile, he watches footage of happy Danish people forking over 50% of their earnings to the tax collector.
I needed a house cleaner for my disability after a car accident last year and I was paying at least $60 just to clean a studio apartment. Couldn't afford to keep paying that so my friends had to sacrifice their own time to help me
I'm sorry, where the fluff is internet $20 a month??!!
Agree to disagree: the test for national office should be to swap places with a random citizen and live and work and budget for them for one month. Rawls' Veil Of Ignorance in praxis.
